An all-levels generative virtual workshop with poet Kennedy Garza Brown!

A form class all about the funniest of all poems: the Limerick. We will juggle the history of medieval jesters, the conventions of limericks, and a secret third thing to create the best rhymes this side of the Hudson! F*ck the idea that all high art is sad, eloquent, and/or effervescent! Let's make art that's bawdy, bold, and Rabelaisian!

About the Instructor: KENNEDY GARZA BROWN published their poetry in Impostor Lit, Livinia Press, and others. They are active within the Poetry Society of New York as a workshop leader and member. Kennedy received their BFA in creative writing at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, and relentlessly pursues the expansion of their craft. Their work focuses on capturing the minute experiences that have rustled their soul. Born and raised in Texas, Kennedy is currently based out of New York City. They’ve workshopped with Catapult and the Poetry Barn. Currently, they are writing their first chapbook, Polaroids.

**This workshop will take place on Zoom.**
