Join us to resist the decimation of scientific research, health care, our universities, and our democracy. Speeches will include a focus on defending scientific research, Medicaid, Medicare and our hospitals, battling the culture of fear and silence, and building courage for the fight ahead.
A band will lift our spirits. Socialize, sing & dance if you like, and celebrate community. Bring your determination, your voices, your chants, your protest signs and your creativity!
OPPORTUNITY: after a few speeches, take the mike for a couple of minutes to talk about which cuts/assaults seem most disastrous to you and/or share ideas about effective ways to resist these attacks and spread courage to others.
Costumes are welcome. Consider protesting along University Ave after the rally!
