Protect What Matters: Disaster Prep for Homes & Businesses

Disasters don’t wait—take a step to get prepared. Broad Community Connections invites homeowners from People's Housing Plus and small business owners in the Broad Street neighborhoods—Treme-Lafitte, Seventh Ward, Mid-City, Tulane-Gravier, Fairgrounds, and Bayou St. John—to a powerful panel discussion on preparing your property, people, and peace of mind before the next crisis hits. Hear from experts - Kaitlyn Perez from SBP, Anna Nguyen from the City of New Orleans' Office of Resilience and Sustainability, MaryNell Nolan Wheatley from the Preservation Resource Center, and Kevin Smith from the Louisiana Department of Insurance - as they share practical tools and strategies for resilience.

At the André Cailloux Center for Performing Arts and Cultural Justice on Bayou Road, the evening will include dinner, a panel discussion, Q and A, resources from community partners, and a raffle.
