PROTECT Facilitator Academy Overview
Join subject matter experts and professionals for two days of interactive training and collaboration. Together, we’ll work toward a shared mission: equipping communities to understand what human trafficking truly looks like—beyond media portrayals—and how to respond safely, whether as a mandated reporter, educator, parent, or community leader.
Who Should Participate?
Health educators, school counselors, school nurses, and other school-based professionals or service providers who work directly with youth and families. These individuals are best positioned to facilitate prevention education and train additional leaders as PROTECT trainers.
At the PROTECT Facilitator Academy, you will:
- Earn 16 hours of professional development (1.6 CEUs) in human trafficking prevention and intervention.
- Gain one year of 24/7 access to PROTECT’s curriculum and training materials, vetted by the federal Office on Trafficking in Persons (ACF) and aligned with state mandates.
- Learn to apply trauma-informed, person-centered strategies and respond to disclosures in culturally responsive ways.
- Strengthen skills in adult learning principles, active listening, and managing challenging facilitation situations.
- Access ongoing technical support from 3Strands Global Foundation.
Your registration fee is $997, which includes certification as a PROTECT Facilitator and full access to all training resources.
