Event description

Description

Join us in the Play Studio at JUMP on Saturday's as we collaborate on a cutting edge community project. The title of the project is Chroma. It's an exploration of color using custom projection mapping in a mixed media, live performance. We are ecouranging graphic artistis and enthusiusts to join this community collaboration by signing up to create projection content for the performance.

When: Saturday's, December 9th, 16th, 23rd from 10-2 PM.

Where: JUMP Play Studio on the 4th floor.

Cost: Free

What to Expect: Some previous knowledge of after effects is encouraged. If you have been looking for a chance to learn or gain more skils in After Effects in a project based enviroment, here's your chance. From 10am to noon each Saturday, we will be providing working tutorials on techniques for creating content for projection mapping. Then from noon to 2 will be open studio time to explore and create using After Effects. The image above represents a scale model of the set that we are building for the performance. The silhouette figures are 6 inches which translates to 6 feet tall on the real set.

Jesse was filmmaker and animator. He previously owned and operated Hiero Entertainment, a visual fx and motion graphics company in Boise. He recently made the leap to work as the Play Studio Coordinator here at JUMP. He has also taught four years of animation and video production at Boise State University in the Communication Department from 2006 to 2010. Jesse spent eight years in children's television--editing, producing and directing--before branching out into commercial production and visual fx. He has had the pleasure of working on eight feature films with the likes of John Travolta, Amy Smart, and other greats along with the creation of countless animation projects including clients like Warner Bros., Sony, and the Grammy's.

What do you love about our Boise community and why?

I love that it's still the wild west here and there are a lot of opportunities to be a pioneer.
