Whiteaker Commons will be a new, five-story, 120-unit affordable housing community located in Eugene’s historic Whiteaker neighborhood at the southeast corner of Adams Street and 5th Avenue. This neighborhood is a walkable, bike-friendly community celebrated for its artistic culture, local businesses and access to the Willamette River Greenway.
The community will serve households earning 60% of Area Median Income (AMI) or below, addressing Eugene’s critical need for high quality, affordable rental housing.
The project will be financed primarily by a combination of 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits and Local Innovation Fast Track (LIFT) funds from Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS). The project has already received a Low-Income Housing Tax Exemption through the City of Eugene.
