Course Overview:This 10-day intensive course provides professionals and practitioners with the skills and tools needed to effectively monitor, evaluate, and manage data in development and project settings. Participants will gain hands-on experience in designing M&E frameworks, collecting and analyzing project data, and applying insights for adaptive project management and impact-driven decision-making.
Designed for individuals involved in project management, evaluation, and development work, the course combines theory with practical exercises using real-world scenarios and data tools such as Excel, SPSS, and R.

Module 5: Baseline Studies & Performance Evaluation
- Study design, progress evaluations, research dissemination
Module 6: Data Management & Results Use
- Data sources, collection methods, quality assessment, stakeholder reporting
Module 7: Gender & Data Collection Tools
- Gender-sensitive M&E, participatory techniques, data triangulation
Module 8: Data Quality & ICT in M&E
- Standards, assessments, mobile tools (ODK), dashboards
Module 9: Data Analysis (Qualitative & Quantitative)
- SPSS/Stata/R, descriptive/inferential statistics, thematic analysis
Module 10: Impact Assessment
- Attribution, counterfactuals, evaluation methods (RCTs, PSM, DD)
