Project KARA’s mission was to remaster an aging game using AI-driven pipelines, assessing the viability of these technologies to accelerate workflows while maintaining high-quality results.In this session, we’ll unveil our findings, share real-world results, and discuss the future trajectory of AI-powered game art. James Roadley-Battin – Lead Artist, Electric Square

James is a seasoned multimedia artist with 16 years art leadership experience in the gameindustry. He joined Electric Square after successful stints at The Multiplayer Group and Codemasters. With expertise in visual development of characters, environments, and vehicles, James also has a keen eye for graphic design, videography, and motion graphics. As a leader, James excels at fostering collaboration to create engaging interactive game experiences. At Electric Square, he has been leading the artist's R&D on project KARA. The team aims to remaster the game Detonation Racing as a case study to extend their knowledge and expertise in Generative AI-assisted game development.
