Overview

Presented by the Exponential Festival in Brooklyn 2026

Project Creatine is an original, semi-biographical opera written for operatic tenor and drag performer Jordan Weatherson Pitts (Creatine Price). On an odyssey through coffee shops, nightclubs, corporate workspace, and a remote island, Jordan encounters the highest highs and lowest lows of love, art, and living—ultimately finding his unique voice as Creatine. Combining opera, drag, and cabaret, Project Creatine is a boundary-breaking story about radical self-definition and not staying silent.

Project Creatine was born to uplift the talents of Creatine Price (Jordan Weatherson Pitts). With nods to classic works of opera and musical theater, this innovative show offers audiences a deeply emotional narrative in which they will find moments of both grandeur and humor. Price is an operatic tenor whose voice has graced the stages of the New York City Opera, France’s Got Incredible Talent, Lincoln Center, the BBC Concert Orchestra, and Royal Opera Liege-Wallonie.

She also produces and hosts a bi-monthly cabaret experience—Cantata—platforming talented vocalists at the intersection of opera and drag. Celebrated pianist Danny Zelibor frequently performs with Brooklyn Art Song Society and the New York Festival of Song, has performed with principal cellists from the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Chicago Symphony, and made his Carnegie Hall debut with baritone Jarrett Ott.

Librettist and visual artist Lex Brown works fluidly across painting, installation, opera, and video, has staged and exhibited works internationally, including the Kennedy Center, MIT List Center, the Kitchen, New Museum, Munch Museum, and the Venice Biennale of Architecture. Composer and sound designer Samuel Beebe explores collaborations that foster meaningful change in the field, and has premiered commissioned works with the Kennedy Center, Opera On Tap NYC, Strange Trace Opera, and Boston Choral Ensemble.

Project Creatine would like to thank the Boston Foundation for its support.
