PADI’s Project AWARE is an introductory course to introduce diverse to aspects of ocean conservation that they may not have considered before. It is a foundational class for budding citizen scientists.

After registration closes, you will receive a link to the e-learning portion of the course. Once you complete that you will attend the lecture night and you will receive your certification.

Yes, absolutely! This certification does count towards the master Scuba Diver rating.

So this event is on October 30 and if you have carved your pumpkins already, we will have a vote to see who the winner is for the best ocean themed pumpkin. The winner will receive a Kids Sea Camp prize pack plus an autographed Zombie Apocalypse Diver student manual!

We are doing it solely as a fundraiser for Ocean Wishes and Project AWARE. Woody is organizing it as well for an upcoming class.

Where’s the money going?

Strictly towards materials and donations.  All time is donated. The breakdown is as follows: Padi $45 for materials and certification, 15 to be divided between the non-profits: Project Aware and Ocean Wishes as well as the Eventbrite fees.
