Processing Grief Through Sound - A KarmaSue Peer Counseling Workshop

By KarmaSue

Overview

This workshop provides a space to connect with like-minded humans impacted by companion animal cancer to honor your human-animal connection.

KarmaSue’s mission is to provide education, counseling, and financial support to Coloradan families that have companion animals living with cancer in an effort to honor the human-animal connection.

Location: Castlewood Canyon Library, Meeting Room A | 6739 S Uinta St, Centennial, CO 80112

Please join KarmaSue for its final counseling workshop of 2025. This workshop is specifically designed for those grieving the transition of their companion animals, enduring compassion fatigue, or navigating anticipatory grief while caring for a sick pet.

KarmaSue and special guests, Bonnie and Colleen, will offer a safe space void of judgement to share stories, emotions, and thoughts about your cancer journeys during this time of the year. Bonnie and Colleen will guide you through a positive meditative sound and music session, supporting you as you process grief through sound. Afterwards, KarmaSue will provide a craft kit to create something special in honor of your human-animal connection. Please RSVP by Saturday, December 6th so that we can plan for your presence.

This workshop is free of charge for those enduring companion animal cancer and/or those wanting to strengthen their human-animal connection.

Please note that we intentionally keep these counseling workshops small to ensure we provide a safe space for those that participate. If it speaks to you to do so, please bring an item that reminds you of the beautiful times you shared with your companion animal (e.g., collar, photo, blanket, toy, etc.).

Disclaimer: We are not behavioral health professionals, we are advocates with a mission to provide support as you navigate grief in all its forms. If you are in need of a behavioral health professional, we are happy to help you find one.
