Overview
The PDCA is a proven problem-solving methodology. Focusing on identification of root causes, students will learn to apply the four phases of PDCA using 8 steps to drive innovation through structured decision making, root cause analysis, and performance measurement. Students will also learn the importance of data collection and data driven decisions.

Review the four phases of the PDCA
Demonstrate data collection techniques
Discuss methods to identify and prioritize possible causes
Analyze data to perform root cause analysis using quality tools
Discuss goal setting and time management
Identify tools to develop, evaluate, and track countermeasure implementation
Review evaluation of final countermeasure performance
Discuss actions to finalize problem-solving process
