Focusing on identification of root causes, students will learn to apply the four phases of PDCA using 8 steps to drive innovation through structured decision making, root cause analysis, and performance measurement. Students will also learn the importance of data collection and data driven decisions.

 Demonstrate data collection techniques

 Discuss methods to identify and prioritize possible causes

 Analyze data to perform root cause analysis using quality tools

 Discuss goal setting and time management

 Identify tools to develop, evaluate, and track countermeasure implementation

 Review evaluation of final countermeasure performance

 Discuss actions to finalize problem-solving process
