9:00-10:00am, TOPIC: Sports Betting in Collegiate Athletics: Trends and Resources, (1CEU) – via ZOOM Carey Wheelhouse, Ph.D., PA-C, Director of Health Promotion, NCAA Sport Science Institute
Abstract: Sports betting has become highly prevalent on college campuses across America. Learn more about NCAA research related to student-athlete gambling and sports betting trends, student athlete health and safety considerations related to sports betting, and NCAA initiatives related to collegiate sports betting.
Learning Objectives:
• Review NCAA Research study outcomes, including trends in student-athlete gambling and sports betting behaviors and student-athlete experiences of harassment related to sports betting.
• Discuss multilevel risk associated with gambling and sports betting in collegiate athletics, including integrity concerns as well as health and safety considerations.
• Provide an overview of NCAA resources related to gambling and sports betting.

10:15-11:15am, TOPIC: Know Your Play – Educating College Students on Responsible Gaming (1CEU)

Description: This session introduces Know Your Play, a free digital platform created to educate students and staff on responsible gaming, mental health, and financial literacy. Funded by the Responsible Online Gaming Association (ROGA), the platform includes a University Integration Toolkit co-developed by EPIC Global Solutions, Kindbridge Behavioral Health, and the Responsible Gambling Council.
Learning Objectives:
• Describe the overall issue of gambling harm in Ohio
• Explain how college students are especially at-risk for gambling harm
• Identify educational resources available to college students and staff

11:30-12:30pm, TOPIC: Suicide & Problem Gambling, Mary Makley Wolff, MS OCPC ICPS, Coordinator, Hamilton County Suicide Prevention Coalition (1CEU)
Learning Objectives
• Participants will be able to recognize the risk factors and warning signs of suicide.
• Participants will be able to understand the cross over between mental health disorders, problem gambling and suicide.
• Participants will learn 3 steps to utilize when concerned about suicidal behavior in a person.
