Proactive Protections: How Oregon Can Lead in Data Privacy

By Oregon Consumer Justice

Overview

A free community event from Oregon Consumer Justice about our right to data privacy and a discussion of how we can strengthen protections.

Oregon Consumer Justice invites you to join us on Friday, December 5, for a day of community and shared learning focused on our state's hard-won data privacy protections and how we can continue to strengthen them.

We all deserve the ability to keep our personal information safe and secure. However, in this digital age where companies track, sell, and use our information, that security is harder to come by.

During this free educational event, we'll hear from Oregon's privacy champions who are creating and enforcing our legal protections and learn about new developments to existing wins like the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act (OCPA). Following a presentation and panel discussion, enjoy refreshments and continued conversation at our Community Hour.

Legal professionals can earn 2 General Continuing Legal Education Credits (CLE) at this event.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is a chance to learn and meet new people. For the benefit of all, attendees are asked not to solicit business or distribute promotional materials.

This event is part of our FAIR Learning Forum event series. Explore topics covered at past gatherings on our website, including consumer law basics, protections related to debt collection, and the role of trauma-informed law in consumer justice.
