Ukulele trailblazer Jake Shimabukuro brings his breathtaking ukulele artistry, heartfelt melodies, and global acclaim to Caffè Lena for two shows on one unforgettable night.

With lightning-fast fingers and a boundless imagination, Jake Shimabukuro has redefined what the ukulele can do. From tender ballads to jaw-dropping, genre-bending solos, he’s captivated audiences around the world — from the Sydney Opera House to New Orleans Jazz Fest. Now, this singular artist brings his exhilarating live show to Caffè Lena.

Taught by his mother at the age of four, Jake’s lifelong love of the ukulele catapulted him to viral fame with his transcendent cover of George Harrison’s While My Guitar Gently Weeps. He quickly became an international sensation, recording over a dozen acclaimed albums and collaborating with icons including Yo-Yo Ma, Béla Fleck, Jimmy Buffett, Bette Midler, Willie Nelson, and Warren Haynes. In 2021, he was even nominated by President Biden to serve on the National Council on the Arts.

Jake’s latest project, Blues Experience, finds him exploring new sonic territory alongside legendary drummer Mick Fleetwood. The collaboration brings Jake’s signature artistry into the heart of the blues — weaving psychedelic flourishes, soulful grooves, and raw emotion into beloved classics and originals alike. The album features reinterpretations of timeless songs like Rollin' N Tumblin’Songbird, and Rockin’ in the Free World, alongside powerful originals inspired by life, loss, and the spirit of collaboration.

Blending spontaneity with deep connection, Jake’s live performances are known for their joyous energy, inventive spirit, and moving moments of intimacy. Whether strumming delicate melodies or igniting a full-throttle jam, he turns every song into an unforgettable experience.
