Private Calligraphy Lessons

Join professional calligrapher and artist Rachel Marks for private in-person pointed-pen calligraphy lessons.

Private lessons can be tailored to meet any skill level, from total beginners to more advanced students, and can focus on traditional Copperplate or Modern Calligraphy. Beginners will work on the proper way to hold your pen, warm-up exercises, the basic letterforms, and connecting letters to form words, while more advanced students can work on flourishing, majuscule variations, or even on a specific project of your choosing.

Lessons will be held on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 - 7:30pm and Sunday afternoons from 1 - 3 pm. (If you would like to schedule a lesson at another time, please email Rachel at info@tallulahketubahs.com)

All students will receive:

• two hours of private instruction
• a calligraphy kit including a dip pen holder, pointed pen nib, pot of ink, and an instructional packet with guide sheets and exemplar sheets
• pdf file of materials that can be printed from home for future practice
• access to future feedback on your progress

Tickets must be purchased at least one week prior to your lesson.
