WHAT THIS SESSION IS
A two-hour, high-energy clinic for printmakers who already know the basics of relief (lino) or intaglio (Tetra Pak) but need help cracking a specific problem. Bring your in-progress blocks, plates, or proofs and get real-time coaching from Liz Ortiz of Mad Hare Press through quick demos, Q&A, and one-on-one guidance.
**Please read through the entire description of this listing, due to the nature of this workshop this is not an introductory workshop. If you are just beginning I recommend you follow for future workshops that are designed for beginners.

- Your current lino block or Tetra Pak plate (plus sketches or proofs).
- Personal carving/burnishing tools if you like your own feel.
- Any sketches, acetates, prints.
- Inspiration that represents what you are looking to achieve.
- Inks & papers unless you add the $10 Materials Pass.
- Notebook for “aha!” moments.

- Capacity: 20 seats max so everyone gets personal feedback.
- Ages: 12+ (minors must attend with a parent/guardian who signs the waiver and stays for the full session).

Petrichor Collective Studios is located in the basement unit of 131 East Lincoln Ave. There is parking on both sides of the building, one on Willow and the other on Lincoln. The Lincoln side parking lot is ADA accessible with an elevator located at the front of the building.
From the Willow street parking lot go through the green gate and down the stairs. The door will be open to our primary gathering space. From Lincoln Ave go in the main doors and take the elevator down to the studio. Take a right out of the elevator and go down the hall until you reach the big room.
Bring what you are working on. Including: Block, prints, paper, ink(s), carving tools, your printing set up. If you want to pack light do not forget to add the $10 material fee to cover use of papers, inks and cleaning supplies. (This can be purchased in person)
Yes! This workshop is designed for those who have begun exploring Lino Block and/or Tetra Pak Intaglio and are facing challenges or obstacles in their practice.

Workshops have a minimum suggested age based on safety & tools being used. Anyone over the suggested age is welcome to participate. However, all minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the workshop. A ticket must be purchased for everyone who plans to participate.
Each workshop has a suggested age based on fine motor skill needs. Due to this workshop’s purpose your child should already have an introductory understanding of the printmaking process. Please reach out if you’d like to discuss whether a particular workshop would be a good fit.
