Printmaking for the Holidays with Jeff Palmer
Overview
Get into the holiday spirit and spend an evening creating your own handmade holiday cards. Artist Jeff “Pixel” Palmer will guide you through the art of block printing, a classic printmaking technique where you carve your design into a soft block, roll on ink, and press it onto paper to make beautiful prints. You’ll end the night with your very own reusable block, essentially a custom stamp you can use again and again.
Once your design is carved, you’ll have the chance to create as many cards as you’d like. Experiment with different colors, patterns, and layouts while learning the basics of image transfer, carving safety, and printing with a professional press.
This workshop is beginner friendly and perfect for anyone who loves creative, hands-on projects. All materials are included, and we’ll provide paper, ink, and simple design templates to help you get started. You’ll walk away with a set of one-of-a-kind cards to share with family and friends, and the satisfaction of knowing you made them yourself.
