Join visual artist Michele Godwin for a creative mixed media workshop, open to participants aged 12 and up (those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). In this two-part workshop, you’ll learn how to create art by combining linoleum printing and simple embroidery. In the first session, you’ll design, carve, and print a linoleum block. In the second session, you’ll add easy, decorative stitches to bring your print to life. No experience is necessary, and attendance at both sessions is required to complete the final piece. Perfect for anyone looking to explore new techniques and have fun with art!

About the instructor: Michele Godwin is a multidisciplinary artist working in printmaking, textiles, and ceramics. In 2021, she was awarded an EFA Blackburn Legacy Fellowship, a fellowship reserved for artists who worked with Robert Blackburn. She currently teaches relief and collagraph workshops at EFA RBPMW, where she first began as a printshop monitor in the mid 1980s. Around the same time, Michele came to the Children’s Art Carnival where she worked with Betty Blayton-Taylor as a teaching assistant.
