Welcome to the Pride Speakout and Social Hour at The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center! Join us for an evening of sharing stories, connecting with the community, and celebrating pride together. This in-person event is a safe space for everyone to come together, speak their truth, and support one another. Whether you want to share your own experiences or simply listen and mingle, this event is for you. Let's come together to uplift and empower each other. See you there!

What is “Pride Speakout and Social Hour”?

It’s a special part of our Open House where members and guests can share short stories, personal insights, or creative pieces, followed by a casual mix-and-mingle session with light refreshments. It's a great way to connect and have fun!

Do I have to speak at the event?

It's completely optional. You’re welcome to just listen and enjoy, or you can share your stories with us!

Is the event really free?

Yes! The Open House and Social Hour are free, and we’ll also provide snacks and drinks.

Who can attend?

Everyone is welcome, whether you're new to public speaking or experienced, LGBTQ+ or ally, curious or committed. No prior experience is required!

What should I bring?

Just bring yourself and your curiosity. Maybe a friend, too!

What can I expect at the event?

You’ll get a glimpse of how a Toastmasters meeting runs, hear inspiring stories, and have a chance to connect with our members during the Social Hour.

Pride Toastmasters Club was created to uplift LGBTQ+ voices and those who are LGBTQ+ affirming. We empower our members by developing their public speaking, communication, and leadership skills. We meet every Thursday at 6:00 pm EST at New York City's The LGBTQ+ Community Center.

Guests are welcome to attend for free as often as they'd like.
