Overview

This workshop series is specifically designed for adults with prediabetes or those at high risk.

Join our year-long, evidence-based program to significantly reduce your risk of developing Type 2 diabetes! Recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), this workshop series is specifically designed for adults with prediabetes or those at high risk (including those with a history of gestational diabetes) who are ready to make lasting, healthy changes.

Led by a trained Lifestyle Coach in a supportive group setting, this program focuses on sustainable lifestyle changes, including healthier eating and increased physical activity. Research shows participants can cut their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by 58% by achieving modest weight loss (5-7% of body weight) and getting 150 minutes of activity per week.

What you'll gain:

  • Practical skills for meal planning and portion control.
  • Strategies for staying active and building exercise into your daily routine.
  • Techniques for problem-solving, stress management, and staying motivated.
  • Peer support and accountability from others in your community.

When: Every Second Tuesday of the month, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.

Duration: One year (16 weekly sessions followed by 6 monthly sessions for maintenance).
