Preston Forward: Visualizing the Future

The City of Cambridge is developing a Secondary Plan for the community of Preston. The Plan aims to bring forward a focused approach to planning for future growth and development in Preston over the next 25 years, and establish the vision and goals for planning for a thriving community.

As we consider how Preston will grow and change into the future, we have developed a set of concepts to guide land use planning and the way community spaces and our transportation system are designed.

We understand that the future plans for Preston could bring significant change. Community input is a key part of creating a path forward that will meet the needs of current and future residents.

Community Meeting #2: Visualizing the Future:

Join us at the newly renovated Preston Memorial Auditorium (1458 Hamilton Street) for a community discussion on the draft concepts for land use, public space, and transportation in Preston.

This family-friendly, in-person workshop features facilitated, guided conversations to ensure your voice is heard. The evening session begins at 6:30 pm with a brief presentation, followed by a discussion on the proposed concept, land use designations and maps.

We will also be hosting drop-in session on the same day at any time between 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm in case you can't attend the evening session . You can also provide feedback through a comment response box.

We are also hosting an online session on Wednesday, November 19th at 6:30 pm.

This event will provide the same presentation as the evening session, provide an opportunity to ask clarification questions, with the opportunity to provide input through the comment response box.
