Marriage was created to be far more than simply living together for decades, achieving status, raising children, and managing daily responsibilities. Much like a road trip, marriage is an adventure full of highs, lows, and everything in between.

“No amount of human effort apart from the Holy Spirit is going to fix a marriage,” Daniel said.

“Marriage was never meant to be a self-driven task. We need the power of the Holy Spirit working through both of us to have a healthy, biblical marriage,” he continued.

The reality is that many marriages in our communities have tried to succeed in their own strength and are now struggling desperately. Hope and resilience may feel drained, and what they need most is a reset.

There is hope. Whether a couple is healing from infidelity, unforgiveness, years of disconnection, or even facing the brink of divorce, God is able and willing to work in miraculous and unexpected ways.

About the Hoovers: 

Daniel and Bonnie Hoover are authors and speakers who host marriage intensives and pre-marriage workshops at their Little White Barn retreat center in the Georgia countryside. They launched The Marriage Adventure ministry full time in 2023 after more than two decades pastoring and serving at NorthStar church. Their first book, The Marriage Adventure: Discovering Mission for Your Marriage, with couples’ guide and online study, was published in 2021. The Hoovers are certified Prepare/Enrich facilitators.
