Preserving and re-purposing studio productions using IMF
Event Information
Description
Making movies is costly and time-consuming. Preserving them is critical.
The Interoperable Master Format (IMF) has established itself as a recognized and standardized intermediate format in this process. While IMF was originally conceived as a common source format for different distribution channels, it has emerged as a promising candidate for archiving and preservation of movies.
The IMF User Group (https://www.imfug.com) invites you to this workshop, which focuses on the needs of archives in post-houses and studios for the production and repurposing of movies and episodic content. The workshop provides a unique opportunity to meet experts, and share ideas, use cases, and requirements.
This workshop is one of a series of two. A sister event will take place in Amsterdam during IBC 2019.
