Preparing for Adulthood Opportunities Event 2025

For parents, carers and young people in year 9 and above with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities in York, Leeds and North Yorkshire to:

• Get inspired and explore post-16 options in employment or education
• Speak to approximately 30 specialist education providers, employers, and support services
• Book onto provider open days later in the academic year
• Hear about Supported Internships
• Carry out agriculture and animal tasks using Virtual Reality (up until 5.30pm)

Information and advice will also be available around Preparation for Adulthood and from the City of York Council's Specialist Learning and Employment Advisers. DWP Disability Services will cover the types of support available through the Jobcentre, Access to Work, Disability Confident and job search websites.

A quiet area will be available.
