Practicing Self-Appreciation in Community
Overview
When we're conditioned to downplay our worth and stay small, self-appreciation becomes an act of reclaiming our energy. This courageous practice ripples outward, giving others permission and redirecting energy from self-doubt toward mutual care, and ultimately toward collective action.
When my friends cheer me on for celebrating myself, the shift in my life satisfaction is huge… until my perfectionistic patterns take back over. I tried journals, reminders, collecting evidence of my wins, but they’re isolating and it’s hard to keep up motivation. I realized I need community practice, where we remind each other consistently that we're allowed to appreciate ourselves.
By practicing this together, we're building a culture where people support each other's unapologetic joy, growth, and aliveness.
In this workshop, we'll:
- Discuss what gets in the way of truly appreciating ourselves, and what makes it scary
- Explore what becomes possible when we allow ourselves to really feel it
- Then we'll practice! First voicing self-appreciation out loud in pairs, then celebrating ourselves in a group circle of supporters cheering us on.
Whether you're new to inner work or experienced with vulnerability, you're invited to honor your own edge.
What if including ourselves in the web of gratitude is a powerful act in a world where so many of us are conditioned to be resentfully selfless, falsely modest, and chronically under-appreciated? (Source)

Introducing the Self-Liberation Series
This is the inaugural event launching a series of self-liberation workshops exploring desire, boundaries, resistance, shadow work, and self-compassion.
Each event stands alone, and all are designed to support us in becoming more fully ourselves, for our own benefit and the benefit of all beings. We’ll be using modalities like Authentic Relating, Internal Family Systems (parts work), and embodiment exercises.
