About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

This workshop is for parents/caregivers who have an adult loved one with a mental health condition. The skills we'll discuss and practice will help us get through those stuck times when we feel like we (and our loved one) may be going in circles.

We'll learn and practice

  • how to listen and respond
  • how to validate what your loved one is feeling, saying or doing
  • how to create and collaborate toward shared goals
  • how to use boundaries
  • how to manage our emotions
  • how to navigate treatment and recovery

We'll have time for practicing the skills we are learning. And you'll be able to begin using these skills right away.
