Practical AI: Designing AI-Infused Lessons Through Effective Prompting

Learn to transform basic AI interactions into rigorous learning experiences using the PARTS Framework (Purpose, Audience, Role, Topic, Source). This practical model is essential for crafting precise generative AI prompts. We will use both real and hypothetical classroom scenarios to illustrate how each component of PARTS shapes AI prompts and develops crucial student inquiry skills.

The second half of the session focuses on practical integration. We will walk through a detailed lesson or project that effectively embeds generative AI, addressing key implementation challenges: resource planning, ensuring equitable access through online and offline components, and designing authentic assessment strategies that promote student-centered learning.
