The Power Ups and Pints event will take place at Fort Nonsense Brewery, commencing at 6 pm and concluding at 9 pm. Your ticket includes entry to play games with other participants, a 16-bit discount on your tab, and the chance to compete for prizes such as gift cards. The first round will begin at 6 and the second round will kick off at 7:30. Prizes will be awarded to winners at 7:30 and 9. I look forward to seeing you there!

Frequently asked questions

What is the 16-Bit Discount?

I collaborated with the brewery to offer a variable discount based on a random number between 1-16. Whichever number you land on becomes your percent off for your discount on your brewery tab. If you roll a 10, that's 10% off your tab.

If I am late can I still play for prizes?

Yes, the second round begins at 7:30 and I save the best prizes for the second round.

Are there different games every month or is it always the same game?

The featured game for Power Ups and Pints will change on a month to month basis. However Mario Kart will return often.

Can I bring my own controller to play games?

Yes absolutely. There are plenty of controllers for players at the event, but feel free to bring your own Switch compatible controller.

Power-Ups and Pints is my in-person gaming event series. The first event begins on February 20, 2025. The chosen game for this event is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch. The venue will be Fort Nonsense Brewing Company. The event will begin at 6:30 and end at 9:30.

I am partnering with the brewery to provide a special discount to all attendees called the 16-bit discount. You will have the chance to receive a discount from 1% off - 16% off when you are ready to close out your tab. During the final game of the evening, the top 4 players of the event will play for prizes.
