Power, Pause & Presence: A Menopause Workshop
Overview
This first in a series of Menopause workshops offers a compassionate and empowering exploration of the hormonal changes that occur during this midlife transition. Together, we will gently unpack what's happening beneath the surface - how shifts in hormones can affect energy levels, sleep, temperature regulation, joint and muscle aches and emotional wellbeing.
What to expect:
- Evidence-based menopause education
- Women's circle in a supportive environment to connect with like minded women
- Gentle yoga movement specificially designed for women in this life phase to assist with calming the nervous system, easing symptoms, and reconnecting with the wisdom of the body
This workshop is for you if:
- You are experiencing perimenopause, menopause or postmenopause (or think you might be)
- You are feeling disconnected with your changing body and mind and experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, low mood, brain fog, anxiety, sleep disturbance, hot flushes, joint and muscle aches
- You desire a connection with other women to listen, share and create community
What you will learn:
- Gain a clearer picture of the changes happening within your body
- Breathing techniques to help calm the central nervous system and reduce menopausal symptoms
- Gentle and mindful yoga movement, including restful, restorative poses to nourish the body and mind
What you need to bring:
- Yoga mat
- 2 x blankets
All other props will be provided.
About Your facilitator:
Melissa Jones of Evolve Women's Wellness holds a Diploma in Psychology, Diploma in Menopause Wellness Coaching and is currently undertaking a Diploma in Nutrition (major), with minors in Women's Wellness and Holistic Health coaching.
Melissa is a Level 1 Yoga Instructor, certified by Yoga Australia. With a special interest in menopause and women's health she extended her education, undertaking menopause specific yoga training with Petra Coveney, the creator of Menopause Yoga.
About the Menopause workshop series:
This workshop is the first of a series of 5 workshops and offers a general overview of menopause, including targeted menopause yoga movement. The following 4 workshops cover a more indepth look at common concerns women face during this time. All sessions combine essential education on menopause and provide practical toolkits including menopause adapted yoga postures, breathwork techniques, minfulness exercises, hints and tips, a women's circle to share and connect within a supported environment and a workbook full of resources to take home.
