POV with SEG: AI For Good & the AI Capacity Catalyst Showcase

We’re hosting an AI and impact filled evening and you’re invited!

In the final episode of POV with SEG for 2025, “AI For Good" we'll explore how artificial intelligence can be leveraged responsibly to advance equity and strengthen Rhode Island’s small business ecosystem.

We will be joined by Sam Azar, founder and CEO of Ascend Impact Advisors. Sam recently led SEG's first AI Capacity Catalyst Program, a 10-week initiative designed to help Rhode Island’s social entrepreneurs and small business owners integrate artificial intelligence into their operations in practical, ethical, and human-centered ways.

Join us after the discussion for refreshments and a showcase of the exciting work developed by our AI Capacity Catalyst Program graduates.

The Showcase highlights participants from the AI Capacity Catalyst program who have developed functioning AI prototypes for their ventures/organizations. Each participant has created:

• A 1-2 minute demo video showing their prototype in action
• A profile on our custom Showcase Web App

Attendees will be able to move between tables to learn about different projects, watch demo videos on the web app, and speak directly with participants about their work. The gallery walk format encourages informal interaction and allows attendees to explore projects at their own pace.
