Do most Americans believe that homeownership is for them?

According to a recent Lending Tree survey, 94% say owning a home is part of the “American Dream,” but many feel it's out of reach. In a NerdWallet report, 77% of those who had intentions to buy during a year ended up not doing so. Part of that failure is due to not knowing how or being unprepared.
