Description

Cleanup volunteer with tire

What happens when dozens of volunteers gather on the same day at two locations along the Potomac River? They make one HUGE impact!

Join Potomac Conservancy and American Rivers at Fletcher's Cove on Saturday, April 14th from 9am - 12pm as we act local and do our part to clean up the river for Alice Ferguson Foundation's 30th Annual Potomac Watershed Cleanup.

Last year, more than 9,000 volunteers from across the region removed 404,549 pounds of trash from the Potomac's shorelines. That's the weight of 33 elephants!

So grab a friend and get your hands dirty for clean water! Together we'll keep the Potomac free of litter so our national treasure can remain a great place to bike, hike, paddle, and fish.

We're also hosting volunteers in Alexandria, VA, at Jones Point Park. Sign up here!

What you need:

  • Close-toed shoes
  • A smile!

What we provide:

Everything else!

All tools, drinking water, and supplies will be provided by Potomac Conservancy.

How to get there:

We know that Fletcher's Cove can be a bit tricky to get to, so please take a moment to visit our directions page for the best routes and parking information (you'll need to scroll halfway down the page).
