Description
Unfortunately, our NYNJ Citizen Science Pathogen Monitoring Best Practices Training has been postponed due to travel concerns and restrictions relating to the COVID-19 virus. We are disappointed to postpone and apologize for any inconvenience. We will be rescheduling this event to a new date and ask that you stay tuned for more information.
Join the NY-NJ Harbor & Estuary Program (HEP) and its Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) on March 20th at the Antique Loft in Hoboken, NJ for an all-day training event (10:00am - 4:00pm) dedicated to sharing best practices around coordinating successful citizen/community science pathogen monitoring programs.
This all-day training will feature workshops structured for individuals or groups that are looking for guidance on how to start their very own citizen science pathogen monitoring program and for those who are looking to increase the success of their current program.
Click here to view our draft agenda. Our event will feature in-depth peer to peer discussions revolving around goals for sampling, available resources to fund monitoring programs, recruitment & retention of volunteers, effective protocols, data interpretation and more!
Space is limited so register today!
Breakfast & Lunch will be provided. Please contact Liz Balladares at Eballadares@hudsonriver.org for any questions.
