Tools of Algebra: Non-linear Functions (3 hours)

What could be the connection between the census and a bouncing ball? Non-linear functions! Come join us as we unpack non-linear function activities from the Fast Track GRASP Math Packet. We will explore everyday phenomena in which non-linear functions are at work, setting them contrast to linear relationships. Through engaging activities and solid strategies, you will help build your students’ comprehension, develop problem-solving skills, and improve outcomes on the TASC.

• All NYC RAEN workshops are for teachers/staff of NYSED-funded adult education programs.

• This is a three (3) hour training.

• NYC RAEN reserves the right to cancel or reschedule workshops with fewer than 10 participants.

• Please be sure to arrive on time. Doors close 15 minutes into the session.

• If you cannot attend the workshop, please cancel your registration on Eventbrite.

• If your program utilizes a “Time Card,” please bring a “Time Card” with you to the session. The New York City RAEN does not provide Time Cards.

• We reserve the right to unregister any participant who is not a staff of a NYSED Adult Education (WIOA, ALE, EPE) funded program.
