This webinar explores the intersection of postpartum experiences and the workplace, offering strategies to better support new parents as they transition back to work. Participants will gain insight into perinatal mental health conditions and their impact, common physical health conditions that affect new parents, examine ways to address workplace stigma, and learn about risk factors that may affect employees during the postpartum period. The session also highlights practical steps employers can take to create supportive environments, as well as resources for navigating childcare and achieving work/life balance.

About the Speaker:
Katie McGowan, EdM, CRSP, PMH-C
Katie McGowan is a Trainer/Coordinator at the Career Connection Employment Resource Institute through the Mental Health Association in New Jersey. She holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and Developmental Differences from Rutgers University. Katie is passionate about supporting parents in their journey. She founded and facilitates a free, virtual mom-to-mom support group for postpartum mothers and previously served as Chair of the New Jersey Chapter of Postpartum Support International. She is a Certified Recovery Support Practitioner and holds certification in Perinatal Mental Health.
