Postcards from an Architect: Capturing Old New York
Overview
Postcards from an Architect: Capturing Old New York is a hybrid exhibition featuring a selection of architectural postcards from the Frank Wayde Hall Collection, generously donated by the late architect, educator, and historian. These historical postcards, on view in the CCNY Architecture Library and online, offer a remarkable glimpse into New York's architectural legacies and the personal stories woven into the city's built environment.
Please join us in the Architecture Library, located in the Spitzer School of Architecture, on November 6, 2025 between 12 and 4pm for light snacks and refreshments to celebrate the exhibition. At the interactive table, create your own postcard and use a few prompts to spot fun details in the postcards on display.
Postcards From an Architect will be on view through the end of the year through the support from the PSCCUNY Cycle 55 Grant and CCNY Libraries. We invite you to explore this remarkable glimpse into New York's architectural heritage, whether you visit us in person or virtually.
