This is the POST Entry Level Law Enforcement Battery Test (PelletB).
This test is REQUIRED prior to applying for the Police Officer Recruit position with the Modesto Police Department, UNLESS you have an Associate's degree, or higher, from an accredited college or university (accreditation must be from an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Department of Education of the United States of America). If you have an AA degree, or higher, you may request a waiver of the Pellet B exam by attaching your transcript or diploma during the application process. For the Pellet B exam, applicants must bring a valid government issued identification with photograph to the test.
Candidates will need to obtain a score of 50.0 on the test to apply for the Police Officer Recruit position. The results will be provided within 30 days of the test and must accompany your application. Note to those receiving a score less than 50.0: The test cannot be retaken until 30 days has passed.
Seating is limited and we ask that in the event you are not able to attend this test date, please cancel your seat. This will ensure others can fill the vacancy.
Please allow yourself ample time to find parking, as it can be difficult due to nearby construction.
