    Post-Construction BMP Inspector Re-Certification

This 4-week course will run from September 29 to November 4, 2025. There is a required field day on Tuesday, November 4, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM in Columbia, SC.

NOTE: This course is for those needing re-certification. Those seeking first-time certification must enroll in the certification course.

The purpose of the Post-Construction BMP Inspector program is to train professionals in methods and strategies for conducting routine and thorough inspections of post-construction stormwater management practices. Stormwater BMPs covered include wet and dry ponds, stormwater wetlands, bioretention and infiltration practices, manufactured devices, underground detention, swales and buffers, parking lot BMPs, permeable materials, rainwater harvesting, and green roofs.

As a "hybrid" course that combines online and face-to-face learning, we incorporate self-paced lectures, discussion, quizzes, and other web-based methods of participant-instructor interaction, along with participation in field day activities.
