Ready to take your work to the next level? This hands-on class is all about helping you build a stronger portfolio by learning how to pose with purpose, photograph with intention, and tell a story through every frame.

What You’ll Learn:

How to pose with purpose to create natural, emotionally rich images.
How to start building storytelling into your work—images that feel real and connected
How to use prompts, light, and simple direction to guide authentic moments

You’ll get hands-on time with live model family—to explore these techniques and start creating more intentional, storytelling-focused portfolio work.

Who It’s For: Photographers who are comfortable shooting in manual mode and want to level up their portfolio with better posing, intentional storytelling, and hands-on practice.

What to Bring:

Your DSLR or mirrorless camera
A fully charged battery
An empty memory card

What about parking?

There is street parking available, plus a few nearby lots. The town is small, so parking is usually not a problem!

Is the studio accessible for those with mobility needs?

Please note the studio is upstairs and there is no elevator, so unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible.

Can kids attend?

This class is intended for adults and older teens who can operate a camera independently.
