Join the Port of San Francisco for a volunteer beautification day at Rincon Park! Volunteers will have the opportunity to work alongside Port staff and make a difference along the historic San Francisco waterfront. Volunteers can expect to pull weeds around the iconic Cupid's Span, litter pick, and enjoy the great views of the Bay Bridge.


Event Overview

  • The event kicks off at Rincon Park under the Port tent (look for Port sign). Check-in will begin at 8:30 AM. All volunteers will need to complete a liability waiver.
  • Port staff will give share some information about the park, review the day’s activities, and provide a quick safety overview.
  • Volunteers and Port Staff will then head to their assigned work.
  • Work will take place for about 2.5 hours, with everyone returning to the kickoff location around noon.

  • Dress in layers
  • Wear closed-toe shoes and sunscreen
  • Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated

Directions/Parking

  • Rincon Park is located a stone’s throw from the Folsom Muni Stop, so it is reccomended to make your way to that stop, then you can cross the street, and you will be at the park. Additional options include biking, rideshare, bart, etc.
  • Free or paid parking is also available on the surrounding neighborhood streets. Parking can be difficult depending on the season and if there are events.

Can my teen participate?

Yes. All ages are welcome, but anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Yes. All volunteers will need to sign a liability waiver at registration.
