Join the Port of San Francisco for a volunteer beautification day at Crane Cove Park! Volunteers will have the opportunity to work alongside Port staff and make a difference along the historic San Francisco waterfront. Volunteers can expect to pull weeds in the historic slipway, abate graffiti, and litter pick.


Event Overview

  • The event kicks off at Crane Cove Park with check-in beginning at 9 AM. All volunteers will need to complete a liability waiver.
  • Port staff will give a historic overview of the park, review the day’s activities, and provide a quick safety overview.
  • Volunteers and Port Staff will then head to their assigned work.
  • Work will take place for about 2.5 hours, with everyone returning to the kickoff location around noon.

Directions/Parking

  • Crane Cove Park is located in the Central Waterfront, generally between 19th Street and Mariposa Street east of Illinois Street, in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco. Crane Cove Park is accessible from a variety of public transportation options, including the T-Line that runs along 3rd Street and has a stop a half block from the park. Additionally, the Bay Trail runs through the park.
  • The primary parking area will be located on 19th Street, which will provide approximately 160 spaces, including van accessible ADA spaces. Free or paid parking is also available on the surrounding neighborhood streets. Parking can be difficult depending on the season and if there is a Warrior’s or Giant’s game.
