Popcorn Comedy with Janet McNamara (FOX)

You're invited to Popcorn Comedy: an intimate standup comedy experience in the Somerville Theatre's 30-seat microcinema. Our carefully curated lineup of comedians has been featured on Amazon Prime, The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, The Second City, Don't Tell Comedy, and the New York Comedy Festival. This month's headliner is the hilarious Janet McNamara. Known for her totally unique perspective and off-kilter jokes, Janet has delighted audiences across the country for more than a decade. As an accountant with townie charm and no time for BS, Janet has opened for some of the biggest names in comedy and won a loyal fanbase of her own. Bill Burr has shared her clips, and Maria Bamford praised her "amazing delivery, enviable timing, and very unique material." Janet is truly one-of-a-kind, and we're thrilled to have her headline!

The show will also feature a special performance by Ari Dhar (aka Aye D1), the wonderful musical comedian and social media sensation. You may have seen her on FX's English Teacher!

• Doors open at 7:00pm and the show starts at 7:30pm.

• Come early to watch classic cartoons on the big screen.
• Grab candy, popcorn, and fountain drinks at the theater's snack bar or bring your own!
• Outside food and drink are allowed in the microcinema (aside from alcohol).
• Beer and wine are available in the lobby.

Opened in 1914, the historic Somerville Theatre is conveniently located right next to the Davis Square T stop on the Red Line. Parking is available nearby. The microcinema is in the basement of the theater. We can't wait to get things popping at the show!
