Explore the underwater world of ponds, and learn about the value of wetlands to wildlife in this fun and interactive pond dipping session. Learn how to ID pond wildlife with a zoologist and build a hibernaculum for pond critters. Learn how we are protecting and improving wetlands across Clacks and how you can build your own pond or wetland area to safeguard wildlife at risk.

Booking is essential and children must be accompanied by an adult. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your booking to allow others to enjoy this event.

Is this event accessible to mobility scooters and buggies?

The path to the pond is surfaced road and a short section of unsurfaced earth path, which is firm in good weather. Wheels may struggle in wet weather and over tree roots.

What do I need to bring?

Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear, water, and any medication you require. Waterproofs, sunglasses and sun cream are recommended. Pollen levels are likely to be high, antihistamines may be beneficial to those with hay fever. Long trousers are recommended to protect from ticks.

How do I get to Gartmorn Dam
