Chris Layman of Fox Farm Apiary will lead a walk at Brandow Point on Sunday, July 27th from 3:00pm – 4:30pm. The walk will begin near the kiosk and end with a view of the honeybees working. Chris will discuss the lives of native and non-native bees and the plants that support them. He will also discuss bee ecology and the changing flora around the Hudson River.

Chris Layman is a Cornell Master Beekeeper and teaches bee ecology/habitat restoration in the upper Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountain region. Chris offers education at Olana State Historic Site, Greene Land Trust, Woodstock Land Conservancy, Dutchess Land Conservancy, Catskill Center and Catskill Mountain Keeper. Chris and Lisa own Fox Farm Apiary in Hannacroix, NY.
