The Polk County Sheriff's Office Animal Control Section, Sunshine State Humane Society, Petlink and Datamars are pleased to host this free dog and cat microchipping event for permanent residents of Polk County, FL. The drive-up event will be held at the Lakeland campus of Polk State College, located near the intersection of US HWY 98/Winter Lake Road (adjacent to the Polk Parkway), on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 10AM - 1 PM.
Valid ID with a Polk County residence is required. The event is first come, first served, while supplies last. A ticket (free) is required and are available now until they run out. Those without tickets cannot be accomodated.
Polk County Animal Control will be hosting additional microchip events throughout the year.
