The Lost Type Co-op is visiting Salt Lake City for a one-of-a-kind event series:

Professional type designer & lettering artist Riley Cran will condense years of experience into a 3 hour workshop that will teach you the true best practices of vector drawing.
This workshop will cover:
- A very brief history of vector drawing
- What are bezier handles really?
- How to vectorize things incorrectly.
- Best practices for vectorizing things correctly.
- Common misconceptions
- Common techniques
- Advanced approaches
- How to evaluate your own work
Required materials:
Laptop with Glyphs, Robofont, or Illustrator installed
Free trials of both Glyphs and Robofont are available for download.
We will provide pencils, vellum, sketching paper, and access to a scanner/copy machine.
Sales are final, but tickets are transferrable—if you cannot attend, find a friend to take your place!

The Lost Type Co-op is a collaborative digital type foundry. Since 2011, Lost Type has been a source for unique typefaces, with a collection of over 50 different faces from contributors all over the world. 100% of the funds from sales of these fonts go directly to their respective designers. Lost Type fonts have been used across the world, and recently have been featured in projects for Nike, Starbucks, Disney and the President of the United States.
