About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Hiking

For 80 years, Pt. Pinole in Richmond was home to four explosives plants, which manufactured 2 billion pounds of dynamite. Our hike route circles this hidden treasure at the edge of the Bay. We’ll explore the relics of the town of Giant, look for shorebirds, and get some spectacular views from the San Francisco Bay Trail (fog permitting).

Learn more about why the nearby community of North Richmond is a Greenbelt Alliance Climate Resiliance Hotspot.
