Poets' Roundtable
Overview
The Poets’ Roundtable offers a FREE program of writing workshops for Mid-Michigan poets & writers to increase their skills. Dr. Melba Joyce Boyd, the new Poet Laureate for the State of Michigan, will lead the morning workshop. Afternoon workshops will be led by award-winning poet Sarah Carson; former Lansing Poet Laureate Laura Apol; Poet Laureate of Durango, Colorado, Esther Belin; and the founder of the RCAH Center for Poetry at MSU, Anita Skeen.
The Roundtable is open to the public & will take place at the Library of Michigan, 702 West Kalamazoo St., Lansing. Parking south of the Library is free on the weekends.

Registration PLUS a box lunch is available for $15 for those who pre-register by Monday, Nov. 10 & select "Roundtable Registration & Lunch." Registration is FREE for those who select the "Roundtable Registration (w/out lunch)" option. However, those registrants are advised to bring a sack lunch.
Afternoon Workshops Include: "Found & Erasure Poems," by Esther Belin; "Writing (from) the Body: Hands," by Laura Apol; "Who. What. When. Why. How: "The Question and Answer Poem," by Anita Skeen; and "Against Commodification: Creating Poems (and a Writing Life) with Real Value," by Sarah Carson.
The Poets' Roundtable has been made possible through the support of the Lansing Poetry Club, the RCAH Center for Poetry at Michigan State University, and the Library of Michigan.
